7,400 cycles: first data from the endurance test

Elastic ring tension loss sits at 4.1% after 7,400 cycles — far below the acceptance limit.

Our endurance rig has been running 24/7 since March. The target is 10,000 cycles; we are at 7,400.

The question we get most is whether the elastic ring slackens over time. We measure tension every 500 cycles. Loss so far: 4.1%. Our acceptance limit is 15%, so the ring looks comfortable carrying the 10,000 cycles we guarantee.

The unexpected finding was not in the ring but in the bag: around cycle 5,000 we saw friction rise in the cartridge feed path. We solved it by changing the surface coating of the cartridge guide rail, and the revised part is now on the rig.

When the test completes we will publish the full raw data and measurement protocol on the Test Results page.
